Actors and Commentaries

I love actors, but when I see that they're participating in the commentary track on a Blu-ray, I know I'm in for two hours of hottest/coldest, first/last.

“Oh, I remember this day. This was our first day, right? Man, it was so hot that day.”

“This day was so cold. Remember? I thought I was going to freeze. Oh, and that was her last day right? She was really a trooper working in that cold.”

I wonder if there will be some way of manually tagging our own widescreen photos (not shot on the iPhone) as panoramas, so they'll show up under the Panorama category and work with this cool effect.

I hope it's as simple as finding the right metadata tag and applying it in Lightroom.

Update: Or even simpler.

Movie Reviews

I actively try to enjoy every movie I see. Knowing as little as possible about the film going into it is one of the ways I approach this.

So obviously, I don't read movie reviews until after I've seen the film.

Reading a review of a film before seeing it feels like reading a review of the sex before going on a date.

So much better to just go into it optimistically and have the experience yourself.
